The Commissioning of Joshua Hunt

On 24th March 2015, Josh Hunt was commissioned as Chaplain at Felixstowe Academy.   It has been a truly pioneering appointment as Josh is the first Chaplain of an academy nationally that was not a religious foundation.   The  Principal, Mr Andrew Salter and other staff spoke warmly of the contribution that Josh has already made to the life of the school.

The act of commissioning was carried out by the Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, Rt Rev David Thompson on behalf of the Academy,  Boost and Churches Together in Felixstowe.   The Academy provided some great music through their Jazz Ensemble and three of their students, Jacob, Giedre and Elisha.

We wish Josh well in his role as Academy Chaplain and pray he will have a real impact on the life and faith of the students at the Academy.   Some photos are below.
